“YOU ARE HERE” – 2021 Summer Outdoor Art Project
The joys of summer are ending shortly, but you can savor the fun when your bid wins a photo panel created by the many wonderful artists in our county!
Decorating our area for all to enjoy, the Wayne County Arts Alliance photo panels, fondly named YOU ARE Here, have certainly added some fun to our summer months. Each one has been lovingly designed and painted by our local artists!
Sliding into the colors of fall, you can savor the fun when your bid wins your favorite one!
Yes, the online auction begins on September 24th and runs through October 17th. Just go to https://www.biddingowl.com/testWayneCountyArtsAllian, register and bid. It’s that easy!
On October 17th at midnight, the winners will be announced! And if you don’t have a way to pick them up, a delivery can be arranged for a small fee. It’s that simple!
Each panel has been constructed so the supports can be folded up for easy storing. Take a look at them all, and choose which one you will enjoy year after year…great for parties and neighborhood gatherings! Now, which one will be yours?
“YOU ARE HERE” – 2021 Summer Outdoor Art Project
The Wayne County Arts Alliance has taken on a summer project to share the Arts with the public and bring joy to our community. The project, “You Are Here” brings the arts to the outdoors. 35 large panels have been created by area artists celebrating the uniqueness in us all. Each panel has two cut outs for heads of both young and old to poke through and snap a photo….or even create a fun video.
Sponsoring businesses have generously offered their sidewalks for display. On the back side of each panel you will find a QR code that will lead you to this website where you will find the map to locate all the panels….so you too can be here….and here….and here! There are so many opportunities to have fun with this summer project. The WCAA is also holding a contest for the most fun video you can create with the panel of your choice. Just make your video and post to #waynecountyarts. We hope to spread the joy with this project, in person and on line!
