One year we stayed on the South Rim in the rustic cabins designed by Mary Colter so long ago. This enabled us to be able to wander to rim from pre-dawn to sundown and view the ever changing shadow and light as it moved across the valley bringing new spectacle every few minutes. At sunset it appears to linger like a child not wanting to go to bed.
