My selected artwork, Displaced, suggests the idea of the journey one takes when they step outside of their comfort zone. This is illustrated through the betta fish floating through the sky out of water, while the girl is encased in a water bubble. Both the girl and the fish are in situations they wouldn’t normally be in, and they are learning and growing because of it. Not only are they partaking in a literal journey to new places, but they are on a metaphorical journey to becoming better versions of themselves.
