Norma Bernstock

Norma has been creating and exhibiting various types of art for over 25 years. She has studied at many schools and workshops including the School of Visual Arts, the Center for Photography at Woodstock and has studied and taught at The New Jersey Center for Visual Arts and Peters Valley School of Crafts. Beginning as a black and white photographer, Norma went on to enjoy hand coloring her images and then manipulating them using assorted alternative techniques. Because of her interest and skill with Polaroid film, Norma was invited to teach Polaroid techniques at the New Jersey Heritage Workshops in Cape May and at several local art associations while living in the Garden State.

In addition to having participated in many juried, group and solo shows, for eight years Norma exhibited at the Highlands Photographic Guild in Milford, PA. As a member of the Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council, two of her images were selected and continue to be part of their logo. She is now a member of the Wayne County Arts Alliance and the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance where she has participated in many Art in Sixes shows as well as in the past Be Mine series of exhibits with her “Poem Objects.”

Her photographs are in many private collections and have received awards from the NJ Photography Forum, Focus on Sculpture at the Grounds for Sculpture and The American Society of Media Photographers-NJ among other honors.
