I was born in New York and lived on Long Island most of my life, but spent several years of my early adulthood in Rome, Italy. Since returning from Rome, I lived in Manhattan and now in northeastern Pennsylvania.
My first exposure to oil painting was at the age of 12 and I never lost my fascination with art and oil painting in particular. Through the years, I attended classes and workshops when I was able to in between family and work obligations. I was finally able to devote myself full time to my art in recent years. I love to experiment with the effect colors have on one another: still life paintings provide possibilities to experiment with shapes and composition. The constant changing of light and color outdoors make painting ‘en plein air’ wonderful and fun.
All artwork brings me joy and challenges me to never stop observing, experimenting and improving my painting.
