Alexis Siroc weaves visual meditations and narratives into artwork supported by her extensive background as an art director. With a BFA from Pratt Institute’s School of Art & Design in painting and illustration, she is an art director by day, with expertise in web design, book design, visual editing, and image creation. 

As a scenic painter and theater designer, her theatrical creations have been experienced by audiences in NYC and Baltimore for the RAPP Theater Company and in Liberty, NY for the Liberty Free Theatre.

Alexis’s art has been exhibited in New York City, the Hudson River Valley, and the Upper Delaware River Valley. She has co-curated two shows at the Alliance Loft Gallery in Narrowsburg, NY—“Paint by Pixels,” which featured digital works of artists from around the world, and “Night Watch,” featuring 68 artists represented by over 150 artworks about the night. 

She has hosted two nighttime Plein Air events as well, inviting both experienced painters and novices to take to the night for inspiration.

In 2016 and 2017 Alexis organized The Callicoon ArtWalk, which featured between 70 and 90 local artists and an outdoor art making event.  

Alexis began her design career working for several of Manhattan’s most respected graphic design firms, including Chermayeff & Geismar and Donovan & Green. From there, she opened her own design studio, segueing into the book publishing industry. For more than a decade she designed photo-driven and illustrated books in categories ranging from decorating and entertaining to young adult, lifestyle and gift books. Today Alexis works with self-publishing authors designing both print and e-books. 

Alexis added website design to her repertoire, becoming one of the early graphic designers to successfully make the leap from print to the Internet. Coupled with her passion for evolving design, allows Alexis to blend her distinctive style with a client’s needs to create a signature site that enhances the individual brand.
