Wayne County Arts Alliance Artists’ Studio Tour

 

WCAA Artists’ Studio Tour   July  12, 13, 14   2019

The Wayne County Arts Alliance Artists’ Studio Tour is open to members of the WCAA.    Please submit this completed application postmarked by Friday, February 15, 2019.

You must include the following items with your application:

*Four Digital Images that best represent your body of work.  We will select from these images to

use in the Brochure and promotional ads.  If possible, please submit both vertical and

horizontal images.  We may need to crop images slightly for printing/publication.

(recommended – Files 300 dpi, approximately 4” in largest dimension, JPG format and no

larger than 2 MB each.  )   Submit digital files on a flashdrive, CD or email to us.

*Proof of liability insurance coverage for your studio.

* $125 Tour application fee, make check payable to WCAA.  The application fee is refunded if

you are not accepted for the 2019 tour.

Conditions of Participation:    –   Please check each item to indicate your agreement:

__ I am a current member of the Wayne County Arts Alliance.

(Membership dues are separate from tour fee)

__ Studio or venue for Tour must be located in Wayne County PA.

__ I understand that my acceptance into the WCAA Studio Tour requires me to exhibit one piece

of my art for sale at Tour headquarters.  I also understand that if the work at Headquarters

sells during the Tour, proceeds will be divided as follows:  60% to artist and 40% to the

WCAA.  If the artwork does not sell, it will be returned to the artist.

__ I understand the meetings for the tour artists are required to help create the Studio Tour, and

I will be there to help make the tour successful.  Meetings to be announced by email.

__ I understand that if I am new to the Tour, the Tour Jury Committee will meet with me to

evaluate my application on the basis of the following criteria:  quality of art, body of work,

and suitability of studio for visitors.  You will be notified of your position shortly after visit.

__ I understand I will have my studio/venue open to the public and will personally be in my

Studio/venue for the entire Tour to present my work.

__ I understand that I am responsible for posting and removing directional signs to my studio

and sharing Tour Brochures with my visitors.  Signs and Brochures will be printed by WCAA

and I am responsible for picking up and returning these.

Application Fee:

__ Enclosed with my application is a check for $125.

Artist’s Agreement

I hereby permit the WCAA to use the images and information I have submitted as part of this application to promote the 2019 Artists’ Studio Tour in the media and to include it on the WCAA website.  I Understand and agree to the requirements for participating in the Tour and, as a participating artist, I agree to hold harmless the WCAA, its executive director, its board of directors, studio tour director, intern and tour volunteers against all losses, damages and liabilities suffered or incurred during or in connection with the Tour.  I agree to respond to all communications via email, letter or phone in a timely manner and will respond to all requests for images, information or feedback within the time specified.  I understand that failure to meet the requirements of the Tour may jeopardize my participation in the Tour.  The decisions of the WCAA are final.

Notes – The WCAA has arranged for a liability insurance policy for the 3-day tour for a minimal cost to each artist.  In 2018 this was via A.M.Skier Insurance and the cost was $55.  This is available to artists who do not already have their own insurance.  Please ask for this application if needed.

Studio Tour 2018

July 6,7,8 WCAA 2018 Artists’ Studio Tour

We are proud to share with you images and information about our 16th Annual Wayne County Arts Alliance Artists’ Studio Tour! The Tour provides an opportunity to meet Wayne County’s established and emerging artists in their studios.

Our Tour Headquarters was at The Cooperage Project in Honesdale. Here was displayed artworks from each of the tour artists.

The tour is free and open to the public July 6,7,8 from 10am – 6pm.

The Artists Studio Tour is the premier event which was the catalyst for establishing the WCAA. The Tour gives the public a rare opportunity to visit with the professional artists who call this area their home. Here is your chance to meet the artists and discuss their philosophies, inspiration, and working techniques while viewing their most recent collection of artwork. And if you see something you want to own, take advantage of artists’ studio pricing. Don’t miss this opportunity to visit Wayne County’s diverse and talented local artists right in their own studios.
