Paul Plumadore taught in the Dance Department of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts shortly after receiving his BFA there, and became a founding member of The NYU Dance Ensemble. He went on to perform with The Paul Taylor Dance Company; to head the Dance Department at Sweet Briar College, Virginia; and to present his own choreography under the aegis Paul Plumadore & Co.
He has been making collage art since the late 1970’s and was named “Upcoming Illustrator” by Art Direction Magazine early in the process. His collages have graced many book jackets, record covers, and editorial stories.
From 2006–2012 he and partner Jim Tindell created and managed Center44, an Antiques and Modernism showroom in Midtown Manhattan representing 75 International dealers.
During this time, Paul created Brain Storm, a Tall Tale – a surreal fairy tale told in 100 collages and rhyming couplets.
In February of 2015, he appeared in his first gallery show, Figuratively Speaking, at The Alliance Gallery, Narrowsburg, NY.
Avid gardeners, he and Jim currently live on the Delaware River, where they recently completed a house of their own design which was featured in Log Home Living magazine.
