As a Registered Yoga Teacher Joan Thirion's professional training and experience include Kripalu and Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Certification, International Breath work Certification, Reiki Mastership, Advanced Chakra Yoga Training, Cayce-Reilly Massage School, Neuromuscular Therapy and international study with renowned teachers. She holds a Master of Arts in Transpersonal Psychology.

Previously the director of Yoga and Health in Bethlehem for 10 years, since moving to the Poconos she is the director of Awareness Works in Tafton, PA continuing her teaching of Yoga, Yoga Teacher Training and Reiki.

She has studied watercolor with Dana Van Horn at the Baum School of Art in Allentown, PA since 2005. Currently she is studying with Hana Gorman of Honesdale, PA.
