Realistic atmospheric oil paintings in the Rembrandt chiaroscuro tradition, pastels, B&W photography & surprising "painted with light" abstract color photography. Brief biography: A photographer and fine art realistic painter in oil, pastel and watercolor, I strive to create a dimensional atmospheric mood incorporating the fall of light into a design element. After graduating from The High School of Art & Design and The School of Visual Arts with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art, I continued my studies in realism at the Art Students League of NYC and The National Academy of Design among other workshops and private study. My husband, photographer Chip Forelli, is a continued source of help and inspiration to me.
I've exhibited at various group shows through Hollis Taggart Gallery, Phillip Hone Gallery, Wayne County Arts Alliance, Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, The National Arts Club, The Salmagundi Club, The Akron Society of Artists, among others. Awards include The Award of the Nation's Capital for Outstanding Woman Artists, Knickerbocker Artists Gold Medal of Honor Award, and National Arts Club Award. My work is included in many private collections and the New York Public Library.
